We’ve reached a major milestone!

We’re proud to announce that we’ve protected over 151,373 square metres of precious Australian biodiversity, forever.

In fact in the past month we’ve sold over 25,000 voluntary biodiversity credits as momentum continues building on the back of a massive month at Wilderlands.

From standing on a stage at COP16 in Colombia to presenting at the Global Nature Positive Summit in Sydney and taking part in a panel at the ILCN Global Congress in Quebec, the conversations are converting to action and biodiversity credits are a key way for companies to start protecting nature today.

When we launched two years ago we were completely unknown and yet today we’re appearing regularly in publications like Bloomberg and Biodiversity Pulse and being interviewed on podcasts like this one with Ashurst.

We’re travelling to these events to make sure we’re part of the conversation and are constantly finding ways to share the Wilderlands story and showcase the partners we’re working with to protect precious habitat across the country.

Of course, all of this is only possible thanks to supporters like you.

Ash Knop represented Wilderlands at COP16 in Colombia.

The Wilderlands community now spreads across the globe and the love we’ve felt has been so humbling and energising, and there’s no doubt our recent addition to the Uplink – World Economic Forum Top Innovators network has supercharged our worldwide network.

What we’ve seen over the past few weeks has reaffirmed our belief that voluntary biodiversity credits have the power to conserve and restore nature by bringing sellers (first nations people, landholders and NGOs) and buyers (companies wanting to take nature actions) closer together.

We’re optimistic that the progress we are seeing is a sign that this is starting to be realised.

So what’s next?

We’re on a mission to protect 1 million square metres of vulnerable Australian biodiversity forever over the next nine months and want to connect with companies committed to that challenge.

Please share this newsletter with your connections and help us find those partners who are ready to protect the planet; together we can do this.
