We wanted to provide you with an exciting update on the eve of the biggest month for biodiversity and the nature-positive movement, ever.

That’s what the next four weeks represent and it’s why we’re travelling across the globe to make sure we’re part of every minute.

GNPS. ILCN. COP16. Sydney. Quebec. Cali.

That’s the flight plan and here’s why we’re so excited to have been invited to be part of these major global events.

It starts with the Global Nature Positive Summit in Sydney – the most significant nature conference our country has ever seen aiming to accelerate collective action to drive investment in nature and strengthen activities to protect and repair our environment.

Leaders from government, corporate sectors, Indigenous Peoples, and research and environmental organisations from around the world will make their way to the International Convention Centre for this major event co-hosted by the Australian federal and New South Wales state governments.

We’re proud to have been invited to showcase Wilderlands as part of the Innovator Hub where we’ll deliver sessions to the delegates detailing our proprietary methodology as well as exploring how we’re working with partners to protect the planet through biodiversity credits as part of their nature positive plans.

From there we’re flying to Quebec City for the International Land Conservation Network Global Congress where our CEO Ash Knop has been invited to be part of a panel titled Innovative Financial Products, bringing together biodiversity credit developers who’ve created or are in the process of developing new financing mechanisms for land conservation

Finally, we’re off to the big one….

We’re beyond excited to have been invited to attend the United Nations Biodiversity Conference (COP16) in Colombia.

It’s been two years since we made our way from Melbourne to Montreal for a COP15 experience that completely changed our trajectory.

It connected us to a community of global change-makers and we were front row to witness leaders from over 190 countries commit to the Global Biodiversity Framework and promise to protect 30% of nature by 2030.

We expect COP16 to be even bigger, but this time we’ll be travelling alongside peers who are now friends.

We’ll be joining many of the Top Innovators who were chosen by the World Economic Forum’s UpLink program as winners of the Biodiversity Challenge and we’re already seeing what a game-changer that network is going to become.

The impact of these four weeks will be monumental to the nature positive movement and help drive momentum for the burgeoning biodiversity market.

Stay tuned for regular updates and thankyou for supporting our mission to protect Australia’s biodiversity forever. One square metre at a time.

Next goal, one million square metres protected by the end of 2025.
